Learn techniques to adjust your perceived vocal age and gender, then apply them in a safe environment. Voice age comes with expectations, in reality you can be 60 and still sound 30, it depends on numerous factors, like environment, if you're a smoker, how you hold yourself, attitude etc. In this workshop, we'll look at voice perception factors and have a go at activating these in a character acting session. Adding texture and attitude shifts to age up your voice, changing your stance and character outlook to age down your voice. Then combining it with resonator, facial and pitch manipulation to help you sound more masculine or more feminine to varying extents. This is from a purely character acting perspective. Coach experience: Sarah is non-binary and has played characters of all genders and ages over their long career in voice acting. They're also an experienced professional creature and monster vocalist, and uses lighter versions of these techniques to enhance their range (though age / perceived gender shifting)
