Psychology has an impact on everything we do, our thoughts, motivations, personalities and how we choose to act in life.

This is a 2.5 hour lecture based class, with Q&A throughout (will be recorded), where we look at Psychology through the lens of a Voice Actor and how it can help us, both as people, and to better ourselves as actors.

The general breakdown (this may change slightly, though the core elements will remain):

Psychology and mental health - how you can help deal with rejection, recasts, keeping motivated and just trying your best.

Psychology and memory - how memory works, and techniques for helping you retain more information when learning, or how you can enter a trance-like state when acting that often reduces your recollection of acting in an especially emotional scene.

Psychology and personalities - expanding your knowledge of how personalities are crafted, looking at childhood influences, personality types, and how you can use these to make realistic characters.

Psychology and extreme circumstances - this section can be especially brutal, discussing several real life studies of humans in extreme events, and discussing how perfectly ordinary people ended up making such unethical decisions and actions, which can be especially useful for applying to villainous characters. (A trigger warning will be issued before starting this section)
