Going From Good to Great In Voice Over

Service Description

This is a six week voice acting course aimed at voice actors with at least 3 years experience in voice over, and have booked work a few times previously. This is especially good for voice actors who feel they're good, or alright, but aren't quite there yet. All sessions will be recorded in case you can't attend any, for you to review before your next session. Or you can look back on the previous session to take notes at your leisure etc. Each session will be 2 hours long, on the times and dates specified. By default, this is in the 24 hour clock and will be in your local timezone, and there is a toggle to view Sarah's time zone (London). You will be required to submit a mock audition before session 1, and another after session 5, we will compare the two once you've gone through this course, to see your growth. This will be supplied a week before the course begins. Week 1 - Goal Planning Establish where you're at now, where you want to be, and steps you can do right now to get started Week 2 - Making a good audition, a great one Becoming the character, and experiencing the script as them in real time. Week 3 - Advanced script and brief analysis Critically discussing acting choices in scripts, and figuring out where many people play it too safe. Week 4 - Finding your niches and being memorable What are your niches, and how to utilize them properly when, auditioning, applying to agencies, rosters and with direct marketing Week 5 - Advanced acting techniques to level up your performances Big practical session, with lots of 1-1 direction and opportunities to master new acting techniques Week 6 - Overview, discussion, Q&A and acting workout See how your initial audition compares to your week 5 audition, ask any relevant questions about VO, and an open acting workout with direction, with whichever scripts you like.
